Based in Hull, van Ryn makes richly textured and layered, cinematic music that is both experimental and (mostly) electronic. 2018 saw the release of his debut EP "Serendipity" and support from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft and Nathan Fake.

In 2019, Liam will be one of the PRS Biennial Artists, performing as "Numb Mob" alongside previous collaborator Joseph Bird. Their audio-visual piece "Where To Build In Stone" will be performed in Hull (location TBC) and London (Southbank Centre) as part of the July festival. This year will also see new music released from both projects via the Foreign Entertainment imprint.
